Join us! UMe Parking Lot: 4/29/22 @ 6-9pm

Drop by and walk the red carpet!

Did you make an outfit for the Trashion Show competition? We want to see it!

Did you miss the competition? You can still join the fun! Pull together some (clean) trash and/or recyclable materials and see what kind of outfit you can construct from it. By participating, you help raise awareness about consumption and waste while flexing those creative muscles, too.

This is an IN-PERSON event hosted by the Burbank Eco Council, Magnolia Park Merchants Association and UMe Credit Union in the UMe parking lot at 3000 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, CA 91505. Stop by any time between 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Smile for the camera! Photographer Steve Lynch will be on-site capturing all the trashy styles.

Strut your stuff on the red carpet (or bring your model along to do it!) and take pictures at our photo booth. The Pop-up Art Show features local vendors and artists, and there's usually a food truck or two as well.

Thanks to all who submitted outfits!

Burbank students in grades K-12 participated in the Eco Council's inaugural Trashion Show on Earth Day, April 22, 2022. They came up with super creative, totally inspiring outfits. View the winners here.

Tips for Runway Modeling

The most important thing to remember: HAVE FUN. It doesn't matter how fast you walk or how many times you want to turn around at the end of the carpet, YOU DO YOU and flaunt that trashion fashion any way you like!

Oh, but you wanted actual tips for model walking? OK here goes:

1. Think tall - stand up straight

2. Step one foot in front of the other (like a tightrope walker)

3. Posing is essential - strike a few poses at the end before turning around and walking back

4. Have fun (seriously, I mean, you'll be wearing trash!)
